I have had a wonderful month collaborating on the Sydney Home Show with Kate St. James, FDIA, interior designer and the Editor-in-Chief of Universal Magazines’. We have each designed a sustainable interior accordingly with the beautiful materials and products generously loaned and/or donated by our sponsors for two signature rooms in the Sustainable Rooms by Design Precinct of the Sydney Home Show. The journey of this design event started on a drive to the Hunter Valley listening to Kate on the radio with John Eusson, then brainstorming with dear friends about what drives you nuts about your family home studies and how to make them aesthetically beautiful, interactive, sustainable and functional.
The Home Work Hub is a dark, moody, semi-industrial residential workspace, where two – three people can write, study, create, work and read together or independently. All products in the Home Work Hub have been selected due to the supplier’s commitment to sustainable and beautiful products. Sustainability is not a choice it is an essential responsibility of every specifier and home owner. Drop into the Sydney Home Show in the afternoon to see Kate, Lyn and I chat on stage with John Eusson about Normalising Sustainable Interiors on the The Build Renovate Decorate stage. Entry is free and all information is on the website.
